Anastasia Tesler-Larsen

Hi, my name is Anastasia.

I am a psychologist working with individuals and couples. My goal is to help you understand yourself and your needs, so you are able to build a life focusing on opportunities rather than limitations.

I work with all topics, with a special focus on neurodiversity (Autism / ADHD / HSP), challenges around identity, LGBTQI+, and polyamory.

I was born in Russia and grew up in Germany, and have since lived in several countries — including Russia and India — before settling in Copenhagen. Being a multiple expat myself, I understand the challenges that come with walking between cultures, languages, worldviews, and identities.

What we can work on together

I work with most topics. Below are the areas I have a particular focus on — but if you do not see your situation listed, you are still very welcome to reach out.

Individual Therapy
Anxiety, stress, depression, identity, life transitions, self-worth, repeating patterns. Sessions in English, German, or Russian.
Couples Therapy
Communication, conflict, intimacy, and connection. Inclusive of all relationship structures — monogamous, open, and polyamorous.
Neurodiversity
Affirming therapy for autistic adults, people with ADHD, and highly sensitive persons (HSP). Diagnosis support and everyday coping strategies.
LGBTQI+ Affirming
Identity, coming out, community, and relationships. A non-judgmental space where all aspects of who you are are welcome.
Ethical Non-Monogamy
Polyamory, open relationships, and relationship anarchy. Navigating jealousy, agreements, boundaries, and connection across multiple relationships.
Expats & Intercultural
The unique challenges of living between cultures, languages, and identities. Relocation, belonging, and building a home in a new place.

Therapy built around you as a person.

The main approach I use is systemic therapy — where you are understood not as a separate entity, but as someone embedded in your social environment. We all affect and are affected by the people and contexts around us.

This perspective is augmented with methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ensuring that our work is grounded in evidence while remaining fully adapted to you as a person.

Having worked in both research and clinical practice, I believe strongly in evidence-based treatment — and equally in the understanding that practice differs from books. Therapy needs to be adapted to the person, not the other way around.

"Therapy is not about fixing what is broken — it is about understanding yourself whole."
